The Fastest Path To Real Estate Success
What is the fastest path to succeeding in real estate? My name is Kris Krohn. I've done thousands of deals. And today, I'm going to share with you the fastestway to succeed in real estate. I'm also going to show you the fastest way tofail. So, you can see the difference between people that are winning andpeople that are losing. So today, I want to have an honest, brutal conversation. Iwant to shoot straight. I want to tell how it is. And the reality is thatsociety has actually trained us to learn in certain ways. There are 2 primaryways. We learn anything. If you want to succeed at it. Number 1 is you got to read a book. Now, I just want to get honest for a moment. There's a lot of great knowledge in books. There's a lot of great things toread. But you know what? Is that the fastest way to succeed at anything? If Iheld a gun to your head and say, "You got 90 days to make a million dollars or me 'blowing your brains out. " Would you say, "Okay, Mr. Krohn, hang tight. I know I cando this. I'm going to the library. I'm going to get books. " That is the last thingthat you would do. Now, reading is good but reading is for curious people orpeople that are trying to accumulate information at just normal pace. Iit's notthe fastest. And if you want to know the fastest way to succeed in real estate, I will tell you right now, reading alone is not going to be the way to get there. Nextsociety says, "A-ha! You need to go to school. You need schooling. You need a degree. Youneed a piece of paper that says you're smart. " Now dude, the school has a place. That'simportant. I would never want to go into the operating room with the doctor thatdidn't go to school and to get a degree. I would never want to hire a lawyer thatdidn't have their law degree. But you know what? You know how many degrees areout there that are just a pure freaking loser waste of time? It's amazing. We willspend years and go tens of thousand dollars. So, let's go back. I got a gun toyour head. You've got 90 days to make a million dollars. "Okay, Mr. Krohn, give mesome time. I'm not going to read a book. Instead, I'm going ot go sign up and applyfor a university degree. Can you give me an extension on blowing my brains out?Can I have 2 years to get a master's?" Friends, listen. I don't want to bag onschool but if you want to be fast and real estate, I'm going to tell you right now. You don't do it by reading books and you don't do it in school. That is not the fastest path. The fastest path is what? Gun to thebrains. What are you going to do? I'm going to tell you right now that if I had to makea million dollars, I'm going to find the most successful real estate investor outthere and I'm goin to freaking. . . I'm going to follow them like a crazy dog. I'm goin gtoshare with you exactly what I did when I felt that level of pressure. Maybe notthat my brains we're gonna get blown out. But I'm going to tell you right now. I wasfeeling some incredible angst. Like, I got to get out of this place. I'm tired ofbeing behind the 8-ball, I'm tired of being poor, I'm tired of not have enoughmoney, I'm tired of wondering whether I'm being a good enough husband. I got tofigure this out. Number 3. The winner is not reading and it's notschool. And you need a mentor. Now, I want to tell you what a mentor is and what amentor is not. A mentor is not a book. A mentor is not a degree. And a mentor is notnecessarily a good person or a parent or someone that has good intentions. Amentor is someone that has what you want times 10. You say, "Kris I want to make 10grand a month. " Then go find the mentor that's done a hundred thousand a month. You find the new order you say I want to be a millionaire. Then go find the mentorthat knows how to make 10 million and reverse engineers it and says, "I can showyou how I did it. " There are not very many of us out there that actually live bythis. I'm buying hundreds of homes this year. I don't make my money sellinginformation. I make my money being an investor. That is my primary source ofbuilding my next hundred million dollars. Now, I want to tell you something that. . . Ifyou if you're the fan of the channel, you watch my videos, I'm going to share withsome stuff that you have not heard before. So, pull up a chair, check it out. The first mentor I met, his name was Ben. My wife and I.. I found out I was going to bea doctor. We were taking a community marriage course. Week 5, the lesson wason money and finance and being responsible. And there was a guestlecturer. And this guy just had a way about him. Where he'd seem carefree likehe didn't have a worry in the world. And I'm like, "What does this guy do for aliving?" And after the lecture, I came up to him and I introduced myself says, "Whatdo you do?" He says, "Oh, well. I actually just got stateside. I've been overseasfor for the last decade. " "What did you do there?" He said, "I just been traveling withmy family. I've made a lot of money in real estate years and years ago. And Idon't work anymore. " I caught the bug. Now, don't make this mistake because this iswhat I did. This was kind of pre-cellphone world. kind of I tracked the dude down I don't like the yellow white pages. And Ibasically drove to his house at night and I knocked on his door. And when heopened the door he's like, "What the Freak are you doing here, man?" Like, I wastenacious. I was kind of going for it but I kind of turned him off. So, he kind ofslammed the door in my face. I still bothered and asked. But shortlywhile later, I met my next mentor. His name was John. Now John was way morehelpful than Ben. John had also made like 10 plus million dollars in real estate. And had been very successful. And John would actually let me ride along. Hewould actually let me get in the car and go with him and look at his deals. And myearliest memories of real estate was walking in on his deals and it was himhelping me on mine. I found the house. I did what he asked me to and then Ireviewed the numbers with him. And dude it was a goldmine. And that house set meup. It brought me on my journey. My third mentor, however, took me evenfurther than John. He started collaborating with me. We started doingdeals together. A deal that I made a lot of money on. He actually helped me find and we did it together. And I did the seller financing with him. And his name was Greg. And Greg actually lived across the street in a tiny little bungalow and you had no idea that this man had money. It was just he was like The MillionaireNext Door but he kind of looked like he was living in a little bit of poverty. And it was just. . . It was interesting. These were my first 3 mentors. And I want to tell you what I learned from them. Ben may have been the one to like get my juices going. John started doing it with me and then Greg went full hands-on with. And in the end, I learned what it actually takes to succeed in real estate. If you want to know the fastest way to make money in real estate, I'm giving it to you right now. Number 1 you're going to need to know, what's the strategy for making the most money. There are things to make sure that you don't do this thing. Now, there are flyers, there's paperwork. They got to provide all of that. Number 4, after all this happens, they need to be able to give you the walkthrough support. The ongoing training. Like. . . Friends, these are the things that everybody needs.
